ANXIETY
Intense, excessive, and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. Fast heart rate, rapid breathing, sweating, and feeling tired may occur.
DEPRESSION
A mental health disorder characterized by persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities, causing significant impairment in daily life.
ADDICTION
A biopsychosocial disorder characterized by repeated use of drugs, or repetitive engagement in a behavior such as gambling, despite harm to self and others.
SUBSTANCE ABUSE
Excessive use of psychoactive drugs, such as alcohol, pain medication, or illegal drugs. It can lead to physical, social, or emotional harm.
PERSONALITY DISORDER
A way of thinking, feeling and behaving that deviate from the expectations of the culture, causes distress or problems functioning, and lasts over time.
POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER
PTSD is a psychiatric disorder that may occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event such as a natural disaster, a serious accident, a terrorist act, war/combat, or rape or who have been threatened with death, sexual violence or serious injury.
GRIEF
A response to loss, particularly to the loss of someone or something that has dies, to which a bond or affection was formed. Although conventionally focused on emotional response to loss, it also has physical, cognitive, behavioral, social, cultural, spiritual and philosophical dimensions.
SELF ESTEEM
An individual's subjective evaluation of their own worth. Self-esteem encompasses beliefs about oneself as well as emotional states, such as triumph, despair, pride, and shame.
